May 2012 Challenge - Inspirations

It's time to introduce our May Challenge!  Each month we participate we grow by trying new techniques, materials, new color combinations or even just gain a better understanding of what inspires us.

Sharla of Beaded Tail came up with this month's challenge:  Inspirations.

In her words:  Your challenge is to incorporate your favorite inspiration into a project of your choice.  Inspired by nature? Create something to show how nature makes you feel!  Do your kids motivate you?  Have them join you in a crafty project!  Do your pets "help" you with your craft?  Let's see their pawsome contributions!  Have fun just letting your inspiration lead you to do something crafty!

Sharla finds it interesting to see what inspires others as do I.  Her inspirations include animals, especially her pets.

Natural Puppy earrings - Ceramic charm with wooden bead

She's also inspired by the nature surrounding her in Oregon, like the trees and ocean.

Midnight Flight Bird earrings
Leaf and Blue Swarovski Crystal earrings

You'll find many other pieces in her shop that reflect the mystery and beauty of nature.  Check it out!

Now what inspires you?

Don't forget to check back in after about the 26th of this month when those of us on the team that participated link up our personal blog posts describing our new creations.

As members of the Blogging Business Artisans we are required to participate in 6 of the 12 monthly challenges per year.  Additional requirements and to see future challenges click here.  If you would like to become a Blogging Business Artisan, check out what that means here.

I love this challenge! I agree with Nancy that it's nice to have such an open ended theme. As always, I look forward to seeing what people make.

This is such an inspiring challenge! It will be great to see what inspires each of us and how that inspiration is carried out in our art.
