Artisan Spotlight - Peri Dot by Duni

7 Questions is our spotlight on our favorite artisans. Please welcome...

1.      What do you sell in your shop?  I sell my own line in sleepwear for women as well as popular lifestyle products such as laundry bags, sleep masks and cosmetic pouches. All of my items are my own design and entirely handmade by me!

2.      What is your favorite thing about etsy? I love the layout and simplicity of uploading items. I also love that I'm able to sell to customers all over the world. I think the teams are a great idea and I enjoy "meeting" and getting to know other artisans.

3.      What is your least favorite thing about etsy? I honestly have nothing to complain about Etsy.

4.      What does your studio/workspace look like? cramped. In fact I'm thinking of moving my studio into our large living space (which barely gets any use!). That would help a lot since I require a bigger cutting table. I hope to implement this plan this year!

5.      What do you do to relax? I love reading. I also enjoy interacting with my pets. I find that very relaxing. Other things that relax me are decorating the house, drinking tea and talking to close friends :)

6.      What accomplishments are you the most proud of? I'm most proud of setting up and running my two shops single-handedly, being the sole investor and not relying on any bank loans. I'm also quite proud of my great customer relations!

7.      What are some of your goals for the next year?My overall goal for my Peridot line is to build up inventory while keeping to the basic styles. I'd rather offer a larger variety in colour than diversify the styles.

You make beautiful items and have a wonderful shop!

I understand about needing space! I took over my dining area/breakfast nook. The dogs didn't complain, since they didn't use the table anyway, but convincing other people to let you take over their space can be trickier.

Duni, we have so much in common! I run two shops as the sole investor, too! And I love to read and decorate. We'll have to talk about books sometime. :-)

nice feature. I like the pajama pants. It's nice to hear you are the sole investor. It's great to be able know you don't 'owe' anyone. What books are you reading lately?
