Worktable Wednesday: Celebrating Success
This past weekend, I attended a conference called Schoolhouse Craft. While there, I learned all about this crazy world of professional crafting. One of the classes I attended was called "Celebrating Your Success May Be The Key to Finding Your Success." It was taught by Emira Mears and focused on the idea that as entrepreneurs, we can often shy away from tooting our own horn. She argued that this can hold us back from success and it's important to practice celebrating our success, PUBLICLY. To get that ball rolling, I'm going to showcase some of the awesome things our team is doing right now.
Rose from Random Creative recently shared an awesome magazine feature she was in. I'm so proud of her! Her work is gorgeous so of course it would be in a magazine. Not only is she awesome for being featured, but she did a great job sharing it on her blog. If you want to score these famous earrings, they can be found in her etsy shop here.
The next success I'd like to celebrate is somewhat unconventional, but I love seeing people with the confidence to make their own choices in life. Nancy from One Loopy Knitter just wrote that she has decided to cut back on a lot of social media. I just think this is awesome. I often struggle with all the business advice flying around; I feel like I have to do everything that is suggested. Seeing Nancy have the courage to say no to these kind of pressures and do what is right for her is awesome. It teaches us all to find the right path for our own lives.
Finally, in order to practice what I preach, I'll share one of my own recent accomplishments. I recently participated in an awesome art show that really pushed me out of my comfort zone. Despite being pregnant and with a broken ankle, I pushed through and worked really hard to make this show happen. This included designing a new display and finishing up some new items that I wanted to display. I was exhausted by the end but very proud.
Alright. What awesome things have you done this week? I want specifics!!!

Tuesday Treasuries
Treasuries on etsy are gallery collections of items for sale grouped under a theme chosen by the curator. This is a fun way to showcase the talents and work of creative shop owners.
Blogging Business Artisans requires its members to curate one treasury per month. Each week we will feature one of the past week's treasuries here on our team blog.

Writing Friday Features
It's Friday! Time for featuring Etsy sellers and their wares! Today's theme is "writing!" Writing is what we bloggers do, isn't it? So I've decided to feature little (hopefully) helpful items for the writer. Enjoy!
First, you'll need paper and pen:
. . . or, maybe you are a keyboard writer:
"Not so" you say. OK, maybe a computer person:
Whatever you write, you will need inspiration, why not shoes?
. . . but mostly you will need words.

Monday Member Mini -- Linda B's Jewelry
Today's Monday Member Mini features the very talented Linda of Linda B's Jewelry!
Linda creates very unique, one-of-a-kind handbeaded and wire wrapped jewelry using gemstones and glass. She loves to use bright colors and gemstone characteristics in her jewelry, and includes the meaning of the color or gemstone, and its healing properties, in her descriptions.
Linda also carries a line of Judaica jewelry and accessories. Her women's beaded wire kippot and earrings made for Jewish holidays are her specialty, and best sellers. Each kippah is made of copper, gold or silver wire threaded with lovely beads, pearls or Swarovski crystals -- beautiful! The earrings are lovely, made with colors and charms depicting Jewish holidays and traditions.
A little known fact about Linda is that one of her cats -- Buddy -- likes to help her bead .... he also enjoys working on the computer to help list items in her shop. Hmmm, I wonder which pieces of jewelry were created by Buddy!!
Be sure to check back here for more Monday Member Minis for a little sneak peek into our members' shops!

Friday Features: Fall Brings Earlier Nights
I actually don't mind the sun setting earlier this time of year. There's something very cozy about having to turn the lights on and relax into a comfortable chair a little earlier in the day.
With that in mind I went searching for handmade items in our group that are or could be inspired by the night.
